Your journey begins with pick-up in El Calafate, followed by a scenic 70 km drive to “Bajo de las Sombras” Port, located within Los Glaciares National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll board a boat to cross Lake Rico, enjoying unique views of the glacier’s imposing south face. After disembarking, professional mountain guides will welcome the group and lead you to a shelter overlooking the ice, where the adventure begins.

The trek starts along the lakeshore, offering the chance to witness ice calving events while learning basic glaciology concepts.
