The tour begins in the historic center, at Plaza de Mayo, surrounded by landmarks such as the Casa Rosada presidential palace, the Cabildo, and the Metropolitan Cathedral — the political and colonial heart of the city since its founding.
From there, the route continues to San Telmo, Buenos Aires's oldest neighborhood, known for its cobblestone streets and as the birthplace of tango, before continuing to La Boca, where the colorful facades of the Caminito reveal the working-class port history behind one of the city's most photographed corners.
The tour continues along Puerto Madero, the restored nineteenth-century dock district turned modern waterfront, with its glass towers and riverfront promenades, before a drive through Recoleta, home to French-inspired architecture, the city's best museums and café terraces, and the Recoleta Cemetery, where Eva Perón rests among elaborate nineteenth-century mausoleums.
The tour closes with a pass through Palermo, the city's design and gastronomy center, and — time permitting — the Teatro Colón, one of the world's top opera houses by acoustics, before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon.
